For those of you who have not had the opportunity of attending one of the semi-annual IPC events and are actively seeking knowledge on Printed Circuit Board design, fabrication, assembly and test, read the following announcemnt of the additional Designer Summit to be held in conjuction with IPC Printed Circuit Expo in Long Beach, Caliofornia from March 22-27, 2003
Shows like the Designers Learning Symposiums (this year held in Ottawa, Canada and Research Triangle Park, North Carolina) and the Designers Summit (held in conjunction with the IPC Printed Circuits Expo in March) provide designers with hands-on, applied workshop training. With the co-location to IPC Printed Circuits Expo, the Summit will offer designers unique access to the supply chain where more of your challenges and opportunities can be discussed and supported. The success of programs like the Designers Summit allow IPC to continue funding our chapter activities, as 40% of dues revenues are rebated to the chapters.

The Houston chapter of the IPC Designers Council, is a Texas non-profit corporation, governed by a Board of Directors and operated by volunteers from the Houston area for the benefit of the Houston area design community.
Chapter activities and services are designed to educate our members and enhance the design profession as a whole. Specific objectives and purposes of this non-profit corporation shall be to.
Promote and disseminate information regarding current activities and new developments in technology
Encourage and develop coordinated input and response to existing and proposed standards and publications
Achieve maximum industry awareness of design standardization issues in printed board and printed board assembly and related technologies.
