Dear Members.

My apologies to everyone for not communicating  since October.   Two meetings were planned for December and February however, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel both meetings.    The next two meetings will most likely be on Flex design, and Product Lifecycle Management.

Our thanks to DDI in Sterling for their efforts in planning  the December Plant Tour.  We had difficulty with our database, and sending early invitations, so we had to cancel the plant tour.    We hope we can take the same tour later this year.   The database problem will be addressed so we do not have this re-curing problem.

Sabine Braun, from Zestron in Mananas has offered to host a meeting, possibly in May.    Moving the meeting around has proven to be difficult.   Quite simply, it is easiest on yours truly to host the meetings close to home, here in Frederick.  I have entertained the Frederick Technology Center, the Community College, and the Library.  Both the Tech Center and Community College are prohibitively expensive. I am looking at the library as an alternative.  Due to security, we lost Fairchild Controls as our home base.

Next meeting will be Product Lifecycle Management with Omnify Software, tentative date is March 10.  Site to be determined next week after I make a site survey for conference rooms.

Several of our members have asked about employment opportunities.  I am more than willing to forward your resumes, or contact information to anyone hiring.    Jeremiah St. Helen from Aerotek has been placing several of our members.   This is a good time to network.     .

October 14th meeting,  recap.  Jim Crowe was unanimously elected to Chapter Vice President.   Mike Reagan presented plagues to Rich Green, Mirka Halas, and Sean McConville for their many years of service to the Chapter.  We also sent Fairchild Controls Corp. a plague for their generosity in the past two years.

Core Source Technologies hosted a presentation by Laird Technologies with Angelo Hrenczuk. The topic was centered around Laird’s material ThemoGon.   Anyone, interested in copy of the presentation, please email Mike Reagan and I will forward a copy Angelo’s presentation.

Stay tuned, this week we should post details for next meeting
